Uzhhorod Mayor Fails to Declare Wife — Yet Her Companies Build Elite Housing Together with Korban's Associates
Bihus.Info revealed that while Bohdan Andriiiv has failed to declare his wife's income for years, the family business is constructing residential complexes in the city where he oversees permits. The partners in these projects are people from structures linked to Hennadii Korban.

Uzhhorod is one of the few large cities in Ukraine without a curfew. This has made it a magnet for migrants and capital since 2022. According to LIGA.net, Zakarpattia shows the highest dynamics of launching new retail and residential facilities among all regions of the country. Against this backdrop, Bihus.Info published an investigation into who exactly benefits from the construction boom in the regional center.
Family business against the backdrop of declarations
The ex-wife of Uzhhorod Mayor Vlad Andriyiv and his son are co-owners of companies building residential complexes in the city. Meanwhile, Bohdan Andriyiv himself twice in a row — in declarations for 2024 and 2025 — failed to report his wife's income, although a court decision on divorce is still absent from the public register.
This is not the first episode. According to Zaxid.net, in the 2023 declaration, Vlada Andriyiv indicated 17.5 million hryvnia and 505 thousand euros in cash — and this information did make it into the mayor's reports at that time. In 2025, these lines are missing from the mayor's documents. According to Youcontrol, the mayor's wife owns shares in a corporate group covering alternative energy, real estate and transport, and received 15 million hryvnia in dividends from LLC "Solar Energy Plus" in 2023 alone.
Korban as a partner
An unexpected element of the investigation is not the fact of family business itself, but who stands nearby. According to Bihus.Info, the construction of an elite residential complex involves people from the entourage of Hennadiy Korban — an odious Dnipro businessman and former associate of Ihor Kolomoysky. Korban had no public connection to Zakarpattia. His appearance in the Uzhhorod real estate scheme is not a regional corruption habit, but a sign of systemic redistribution of assets during wartime.
Uzhhorod is a city without a curfew, where a construction boom is taking place in parallel with investigations into the mayor.

What is already known about Andriyiv
- In 2018, the prosecutor's office served the mayor with a suspicion of embezzling 6.5 million hryvnia during the reconstruction of the "Owl's Nest" landmark; in 2021, it was reclassified as official negligence.
- Deputy Mayor Vadym Borets declared joint business with the Andriyiv family — this was reported by Zaxid.net.
- As early as 2019–2020, local media documented schemes for transferring city lands to firms where persons affiliated with the mayor were beneficiaries.
A mechanism without brakes
The key problem is not only a conflict of interest, but the absence of a functioning response mechanism. NAPC can audit a declaration, the prosecutor's office can open proceedings — but in Uzhhorod, both instruments have already been used and did not stop either construction or the mayor's re-election in 2020.
If NABU or SAP do not receive this case for work before the next local elections — and they will be held after the end of martial law — Andriyiv will have every chance of running for a third term with a ready-made elite district as a calling card of the city's "development."
