Cabinet moves to terminate powers of supervisory boards of six energy companies
The government has launched proceedings to prematurely terminate the mandates of several supervisory boards of state energy companies; new members are expected to be elected by the end of December. Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko has also ordered an overhaul of the boards in the defense sector.

The Cabinet of Ministers has initiated the urgent termination of the powers of a significant portion of the supervisory boards of key state energy enterprises.
List of energy companies
This concerns the following entities:
- LLC "Operator of the Gas Transmission System of Ukraine";
- PJSC "Centrenergo";
- JSC "Ukrainian Distribution Networks";
- JSC "Energy Company of Ukraine";
- JSC "Market Operator";
- JSC "Ukrainian Energy Machines".
The Cabinet approved a transparent procedure for selecting candidates to the supervisory boards. New members of the supervisory boards of the listed companies should be elected by the end of December

Government decision and previous steps
In addition, the government instructed Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal to overhaul the supervisory boards at defense-sector enterprises.
- On November 11, after a corruption scandal, the Cabinet prematurely terminated the powers of the supervisory board of Energoatom.
- On November 18, the government decided to announce a competition for the positions of members of the supervisory board of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine".
