Christmas Mission from Germany: How Volunteers from Sankt Augustin Brought Christmas to the Dmytrivska Community
True friendship is tested in hardship, and true solidarity is shown through sustained support. The civic organization "Sankt Augustin and Friends Help" (Germany) once again proved that the Dmytrivska community is not just a point on a map to them, but close friends. On December 14, a German delegation visited the community on a Christmas mission.

More Than Humanitarian Aid
German volunteers have supported Dmytrivka since the first days after de-occupation. This visit was especially emotional: it began with the national anthems of both countries and a minute of silence for the fallen Heroes of Ukraine. This underscores the deep respect of our European partners for our struggle.
Village head Taras Didych presented letters of appreciation to the organization's president, Günther Maassen, and his team. Yet the greatest reward for the guests was the children's smiles. Young talents from the Art Viva School of Arts and the theater studio "Territory of Creation. Creator. Kids" prepared a real show for their friends from Germany: from traditional carols to a modern nativity play about the Grinch.
Shared Gratitude: From Children to Servicemen
The meeting became a platform for mutual gratitude. The community's servicemen presented the volunteers with commemorative awards, and the German guests, in turn, handed over gifts to the defenders and local activists.

A Gift for Every Kindergarten
The German friends' mission did not end with the official event. Members of the delegation visited the community's kindergartens, where each child received their own personal Christmas package. This approach is not about numbers in reports, but about the human touch that helps Ukrainian children feel the magic of the holiday even in wartime.
The Dmytrivka community continues to build international ties, turning charitable aid into a strong partnership between Ukrainian and European towns.
