The opening of this facility is of special significance: at the beginning of the full-scale invasion the university's sports complex suffered significant damage. Today, in its place, is a modern space for the development of judo, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, sambo, boxing, free-fight and khorting.

A Forge of Masters of Sport

The Tax University has traditionally been one of the country's most powerful sports hubs. Over the years it has produced:

  • 27 Honored Masters of Sport of Ukraine;
  • 86 Masters of Sport of international class;
  • over 400 Masters of Sport and 1,500 candidates for Master of Sport.

The implementation of the project was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the university, the NOC of Ukraine in the Kyiv region and the Bucha District Wrestling Association. Olympians, defenders of Ukraine and representatives of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (KOVA) attended the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of sport in raising strong young people.

«This hall is not just a place for training. It is proof that the Kyiv region is recovering, despite everything, and is creating conditions for the development of a new generation of free and strong people»

— Andriy Mykhalchuk, Head of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (KOVA)

The new venue will serve not only a sporting but also a social function, promoting a healthy lifestyle among students and the youth of the Bucha district.

EU Against Google: Why the Latest Fine Could Change More Than Previous Ones

# European Regulators Target Google Again — This Time Over Digital Markets Act Violations. What's Behind the Accusations and Why It Matters Beyond the Corporation European regulators have renewed their scrutiny of Google, this time focusing on alleged violations of the Digital Markets Act. The charges underscore Brussels' increasingly aggressive stance on big tech monopolies and what officials say are anticompetitive practices. The accusations center on how Google leverages its dominance across multiple digital services — from search to advertising to mobile platforms — to disadvantage competitors. Regulators claim the company is using its market power in ways that stifle innovation and limit consumer choice. The case carries significance far beyond Google itself. It signals how the EU is attempting to enforce its landmark Digital Markets Act, legislation designed to curb the gatekeeping power of tech giants. A potential penalty could set precedent for how other large technology companies face similar scrutiny. For consumers and smaller tech firms, the outcome could reshape the digital landscape by creating more room for competition. For Google, fines and operational restrictions could fundamentally alter its business model in Europe, the world's most stringent regulatory market. The case also reflects a broader geopolitical divide, with the EU pursuing a regulatory approach that contrasts sharply with the lighter-touch oversight favored in the United States.
