Law enforcement in the Obukhiv district exposed a 37‑year‑old man who organized the manufacture and sale of a psychotropic substance — amphetamine. He has been charged under articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine that provide liability for illegal manufacture, possession and sale in large quantities; the suspect faces up to 12 years' imprisonment.
Mechanics of the crime
The investigation established a simple but dangerous scheme: the suspect ordered precursor-containing drugs online, collected them at post offices, produced amphetamine in residential premises and packaged it for distribution. During searches, authorities seized 21 zip‑lock bags containing the substance with a total weight of more than 33.5 g, production equipment and precursors.
