According to the police, while driving his own Toyota Camry he struck a woman who was crossing the road at an unsignalized pedestrian crossing in the town of Nemishaieve. The victim — a 20-year-old woman — sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized. A pre-trial investigation and an internal inquiry are ongoing.
