Xiaomi 17T — first T-series with Leica and four months earlier than last year
On May 28, Xiaomi will present the 17T and 17T Pro: the earliest global launch of the T-series in the brand's history, featuring Leica Summilux cameras on both models for the first time and a battery capacity of up to 7000 mAh.

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the global presentation date for the 17T series — May 28, 2025. This is approximately four months earlier than the 15T series launched last September. Thus, the 17T becomes the earliest global debut of the T-series in the brand's history.
Two models — different logic
The Xiaomi 17T will feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 8500 chip, 6500 mAh battery with 67W charging, a primary 50 MP Leica Summilux camera, and 5x optical zoom with digital zoom up to 120x.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro moves to a 6.83-inch 144 Hz panel, Dimensity 9500 processor, 7000 mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, as well as a Light Fusion 950 sensor.
Leica debuts in T-series — and it's fundamental
The main change is not in the hardware, but in the optics: for the first time in the T-series, both models receive camera tuning from Leica Summilux. This opens Xiaomi's computational photography to customers who are not willing to pay for flagship-level devices.

Price and markets
According to leaks, the Xiaomi 17T will start at €749 (12GB/256GB), with the 512GB version at €799; the Xiaomi 17T Pro is estimated at approximately €999. This is a flagship segment where the brand previously did not position the T-line so aggressively.
Internal software references were also found indicating support for Chinese firmware for both models — meaning the 17T series may not be limited to global markets only.
Pre-order gifts
- Buyers of the standard Xiaomi 17T will receive Redmi Headphones Neo, while Pro buyers will also get a Xiaomi Smart Band 10.
The key question after May 28: if the Leica partnership truly proves itself in the mid-range segment, will Xiaomi's premium flagship 17 line remain sufficiently differentiated — or will the company itself blur its own flagship proposition?
