Bobrytsia Honored the Memory of the Fallen: A Memorial Rally on Remembrance and Reconciliation Day
On May 8, a memorial rally was held in Bobrytsia to mark the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. At the memorial to the fallen, there were candles, tulips, and words that resonate differently today than ever before.

A Memory That Does Not Fade
The residents of Bobrytsia gathered near the monument and the memorial plaques bearing the names of the fallen. In their hands — flowers. In their hearts — the realization that this date is no longer only about the past.
A local clergyman, addressing those present with a cross in his hands, quoted the poet Mykola Zerov: “It is from graves that our land is uneven,” reminding everyone how many human destinies are embedded in every patch of Ukrainian soil. He held a prayer for all who died fighting for independence and freedom, drawing a direct parallel with the present — and condemning those who once again repeat acts of aggression against the Ukrainian people.
“Without Memory, There Is No Future”
One of the participants in the rally — wearing a vyshyvanka and holding tulips — put it simply and precisely: this topic is more relevant than ever. The current generation of Ukrainians is once again forced to defend its independence. And the task of those living today is to pass this memory on to children. Because without memory, there is no future.
The Rear Must Work — the Front Must Win
From the podium, against the backdrop of the memorial plaques, a call was made to those in the rear: to do everything possible to support the front and bring victory closer. To raise children as patriots. Not to forget the price at which freedom was won.
The rally ended the way all true gatherings in Ukraine do today — “Glory to Ukraine!” and in response, in unison: “Glory to the Heroes!”
We remember. We prevail.
