In the evening in the central part of Kyiv on Khreshchatyk Street, an altercation occurred in which one of the participants sustained serious injuries. Police detained a man who practices mixed martial arts.

According to law enforcement, a conflict arose between two men in the evening. One of them struck a pedestrian in the face; the victim lost consciousness and fell onto the asphalt.

During a patrol, police found a man lying unconscious on the road. Medics determined that the 30-year-old victim has a severe traumatic brain injury, a brain contusion, and a fracture of the temporal bone.
Charges and consequences
Law enforcement promptly detained the attacker and provided first aid to the victim. The detainee was notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional grievous bodily harm.
Under this article, he faces up to eight years in prison.
