NBU launches 24/7 payment tracking in the Electronic Payment System — how the service works
On December 1, the National Bank of Ukraine introduced TrekSEP into the electronic payments system. The service allows individuals and legal entities to track the status of transfers at any time, from initiation to crediting. From April 1, 2026, UETR will be implemented for participants in the Electronic Payments System.

From December 1, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has introduced an informational reference service for tracking payment operations into the System of Electronic Payments (SEP) — TrekSEP.
How the service works
TrekSEP enables individuals and legal entities to monitor the movement of funds in the SEP 24/7, from the moment a transfer is initiated until it is credited to the recipient's account.
For businesses this means more precise control over settlements with counterparties; for citizens — a convenient tool for monitoring their own payments.
Thanks to the tracking service in the SEP, clients will receive a simple tool to monitor their payments in real time, and banks and other payment service providers will be able to reduce operational costs for clarifying the status of transfers

Statuses of payment operations
Through TrekSEP payers and recipients will see the status of an operation (for example: initiated, being processed by the payer's bank, awaiting processing in the SEP, credited) and timestamps of key stages of its execution. The service covers account-to-account transactions by details or IBAN, including instant transfers via the SEP.
Payment identifier UETR
The tracking service is based on the universal unique transaction identifier UETR (Unique End-To-End Transaction Reference). When a UETR is entered into TrekSEP, the user will receive detailed information about the movement of funds for the transaction without disclosing personal data.

The SEP is a systemically important payment system of Ukraine of the RTGS class, operating 24/7 based on the ISO 20022 standard and providing interbank settlements through accounts at the National Bank of Ukraine; the operator of the system is the NBU.
